Hail Satan!
Hail Satan!
Given the fact that Anti-Christianity is such a big part of my thought, considering the strangle-hold it seems to have on the surrounding populace here as well as other factors, I do enjoy surfing the WWW in hopes of spending time with these who seem to have ultimately fallen victim to the lamb. Now, the largest priority in my life at the moment seems to be music, so put two and two together, and you get Christian music.
I love to go around to these sites and watch tattooed dreadlocked hipsters trying to 'spread the love'. As far as I'm concerned, that's not what metal or even hard rock should be about, fuck POD, yes. So, I eventually wound up on the site for the singer Rebecca St. James, and I decided to check her out. She seemed nice and quite admirable in other ways, so I checked out her Devotionals area (I don't even know what the hell those are) and I came across the following :
Once when I was in California, I was asked in the question and answer time of my concert, "What do you think of Kurt Cobain's suicide?" At first, I didn't know what to say. I really prayed that God would give me the right words.
I basically answered that Kurt Cobain (lead singer/songwriter for the punk rock group "Nirvana" who shot himself in April 1994) was an example of someone who absolutely lived for self. His death was the ultimate end to his own selfishness. When we decide to live for ourselves rather than choosing to live God's way, that's exactly what we do - condemn ourselves to destruction. To some extent, selfishness always leads to death of some sort. If you allow selfishness to have its way, you are really letting yourself slowly die inside. God's way is life - not death.
This was the point when I really got pissed off. Here we have a happy successful girl who's trying to judge the depths of depression and suicide and even putting down suicidal people, which won't exactly make readers put down their knives and learn more about this God of hers. I don't really feel like mentioning the Cassie Bernall girl. With what I've been in in the past couple years, my respect went down for her.

Am I a trendsetter yet? This isn't much of a log in any respects as of yet, but well, I'm lazy, aren't I.
